In its annual guide to the year’s top destinations, Travel Curator picks Luxor, the ancient spiritual heart of Egypt, as a place to visit in 2027. Luxor is where 2027’s “eclipse of the century” lasts longest, with more than six minutes of totality. The editors suggest seeing sites like the Karnak Temple Complex from a traditional dahabeya, and they name Kemetale for its boutique three- to seven-night Nile sailings.
