General Information
General information
Dress as you like, Egypt is accustomed to visitors from different cultures and backgrounds, however, it is recommended to avoid clothing that is too revealing. This doesn’t include the beach, hotels, sailing, New Year’s party, just rather in the streets or during temple and museum visits etc. Ask your host prior to any event.
Gratuity is part of the fabric of Egyptian culture. Not only from the economic dependency but a clear reflection on the level of service and helpfulness of the provider. Feel free to consult your host on value if you are in a Cabin trip or charter. Usually between 5-10% of the value of your cruise price.
Kemet is a “Pool House” for Tips; you will be provided envelopes from your Host / Hostess where you can place your boat gratuity at the end of the trip. If you feel someone deserves extra, you can just kindly indicate that verbally to your host and leave the tips in the same envelope.
Guide: Please provide Gratuity to the Guide Directly as you see fit based on the level of service.
Alcohol: This trip doesn’t include any alcohol in the price. Egypt applies heavy duties to alcohol. It is available in hotels and bars. Local beer, wine and spirits are available and quite inexpensive. We recommend you BYOB (Check updated allowance per person at the airport as you fly in)
Your host / concierge for the trip will be known to you on day of arrival. They will be able to assist with all your needs and make arrangements as needed to ensure you have an enjoyable travel experience.

Kemetale & Kemet staff always try to improve the cleanliness of the areas we visit, and we sometimes are humbled by our guests attempts to also make our world greener.
The crew follows an extensive recycling program on board, with all waste materials sent to specialized recycling centers to minimize impact on the local environment
